Maria Kammerer will give free ten minute Reiki sessions at the market this week. Reiki is a Japanese modality that is used to create relaxation and well-being. Reiki triggers our body’s natural healing abilities- increasing our immune system, aiding in better sleep and improving and maintaining wellness. Come and give it a try.
In the kids’ corner from 3:30 to 4:30, we’ll be talking about birds, making some really cut bird masks, and creating bird feeders from plastic water bottles. Mary Kaufman and Dee Pittinger from College Hill Gardeners will lead this activity.
Have you tried our new food truck yet? Empanadas Aqui was a great hit last week. They’ll be back this week with their South American specialties.
And don’t forget all the great, healthy, locally grown food! Greens are abundant (think kale, collards, chard, arugula…) plus radishes, turnips, spinach, cilantro and more. EBT customers, use your card to get up to $10 worth of free produce. Ask us how. Locally baked bread, local honey and granola, and natural body care products are just a few of the items you can pick up at this week’s market. Check it out!
