Interested in learning how to prepare produce including vegetables and fruits grown on local farms? Then come to a healthy cooking demonstration at our market this Thursday, July 7, at 4pm. You’ll learn tips on selecting seasonal produce and ways to prepare and store it safely. You’ll also discover the health benefits of some of your favorite produce items!
The cooking demonstration is free, open to all and includes free tastings and recipes.
Bring a cookbook, take a cookbook
July 7 is the second and final week of our cookbook exchange. Bring a cookbook you are no longer using, and pick up one that suits you better.
Our children’s program is taking a break this week, but be sure to bring your little ones on July 14 at 3:30. The Literacy Team will lead story time and distribute free books.
Live music at 5:30
Come for the last hour of our market and enjoy the mellow guitar and vocals of Dan Erdman, a favorite here at the market.
Credit cards and EBT accepted
Farmers and vendors are here from 3:00 to 6:30 every Thursday afternoon, rain or shine. We are approaching the height of the season, with tomatoes, green beans, corn, peaches and so much more. Stop by our market table to use your credit card or EBT card. EBT customers are eligible for matching funds (up to $10) when buying fresh produce. Ask us how.
